Lower High St. & Byepass Road

The Lower High Street is, perhaps, a contradiction in terms but there are businesses in among the houses which are worth a look. There is a small industrial estate where the dairy used to be.
Serendipity is a new concept in that, although there are items for sale in the shop, its real purpose seems to be to act as an agent for people who wish to sell goods on eBay but have neither the time nor the inclination to do it themselves.

There used to be a filling station and repair shop on the byepass but it closed a few years ago and the small business shown in this picture sprang up. Greenacres garage in Church St. also does motor repairs but both garages seem to be able to make a living.

This shop is an insurance broker's but the brass plates to the right of the windows refer to the dentist at the top of the stairs alongside the shop.
