St Andrew's Church - Roll of Honour
The war memorial in Church Street lists the names of those who were killed in the First World War. The names are repeated in gold on a board in the church itself. However there is also a framed list of those men from the village who fought in the Second World War.
The list is hand written on a special printed chart about 450mm by 900mm with the three line heading "Roll of Honour", "For King and Country", "Tarvin, Cheshire". To the left of the heading is the inscription- "Declaration of War August 4th., 1914" and to the right is the inscription "Peace signed at Versailles on June 28, 1919 ".
The rest of the form includes two columns of names with related regiment, ship etc. and there are short extra columns squeezed onto each side to take extra names.
The left hand, main column has the following list of names.
